Betsy P. Pedersen-Hill, 89, of Legend Lake, passed away May 29, 2023. Betsy was born on July 5, 1933, in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Robert and Polly (Eaton) Pittman. On June 19, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard Pedersen. Richard preceded her in death on March 6, 1995. Betsy worked as a first-grade teacher in Whitefish Bay for 25 years, retiring in 1998. On October 23, 1999, she was united in marriage to Robert Hill. Betsy was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, swimming, and gardening.
Betsy is survived by two daughters, Robin Pedersen, of Milwaukee, and Jill Haug, of Milwaukee; two sons, Richard Pedersen Jr., of Milwaukee, and Greg Pedersen, of Legend Lake; five stepchildren, Thomas Hill, David (Jeanne) Hill, Andrew Hill, Rebecca Hill and Timothy (Terri) Hill; four grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Christopher and Trevor; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Susan Stewart; and a niece, Brittany Stewart. Betsy is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Betsy was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard; second husband, Robert; one son, Christopher; and her parents.
Private family services will be held.
