Awards were presented to 12 area students during the SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference closing ceremonies held April 8 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison.
Conrad Kreutzberg, with Pulaski High School, took gold in the printing and design category. Pulaski also saw Caleb Theuerkauf take bronze in the electronics category.
Colin Borst and Emmett Johns, with Oconto Falls High School, took bronze in the additive manufacturing team category.
Wesley Hoskins, with Gillett Secondary School, took bronze with the collision repair technology category.
Mallory Braun, Claire Dudek, and Madisyn Skalitzky, with Shawano Community High School, came home with silver in the community service category. SCHS student Kenley Kelliher took bronze for the job interview contest.
Job interviews also went well for two Bonduel Middle School students as Audrey Keller took gold and Brandi Prodell took silver.
Chekotey Horacek, with Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School, took gold for diesel equipment technology.
The 53rd annual event featured more than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students participating in 65 skilled and technical trades competitions.
