School district sexual abuse case widens

Two more plaintiffs have alleged sexual abuse and misconduct by high school staff and signed onto a lawsuit against the Oconto Falls School Board.

Cass Casper, lead counsel on the case with Disparti Law Group, made the announcement March 18, one week after the original lawsuit was filed in federal court.

Riewe family to host Breakfast on the Farm

A fourth-generation family farm will play host to the 2026 Breakfast on the Farm in Oconto County.

Riewe Farms is a family-owned and operated dairy farm north of Oconto.

The farm was originally purchased by Adolph and Ida Riewe in 1915. In 1946, Clair and Delores Riewe assumed operations, followed by Richard and Diane Riewe in 1982.

Supervisors will meet at 3 p.m. March 25 to vote on a maximum amount to borrow to build a new courthouse — a decision that will guide them when any future borrowing votes are taken.
