Crossroads Community Theatre will present its fourth annual murder mystery dinner theater event, “Talk About a Murder,” next month at the WOWSpace, 114 Vinal St., Wittenberg.
The play, written by Lee Mueller and directed by Miriam Nelson, will be presented Feb. 20, 21, 27 and 28. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The meal, catered by The Gathering of Shawano, will be served at 6 p.m.
Guests may choose from cod divan (baked cod topped with fresh broccoli, crab meat and Hollandaise sauce, served over wild rice) or sliced roast beef (slow-roasted beef served with a Burgundy mushroom sauce, red potatoes and fresh vegetable). In addition, each meal will be served with a salad, rolls and dessert.
Following dinner, guests become the studio audience for a talk show, “On the Road With Nickie and Ricky Rivers.” This is definitely a show to die for, as one of the featured guests will definitely find out. Then it is up to the audience to help detective Buzz Beckett (played by Mike Gilbertson) and bodyguard Candy Kafka (Regan McKay) solve the mystery.
Other cast members are Dawn Meverden, Robby Johnson, Dale Hartleben, Melissa Gauderman, Nancy Pehlke, Lois Anderson, Manuella Yeager, Sam Wessel and Melissa Anderson.
Tickets for the dinner show are $30 and must be purchased in advance at the office of The Wittenberg Enterprise-Birnamwood News, 600 S. Webb St., Wittenberg, or by phone at 715-253-3525. There are only 50 tickets available for each night; sales will end on Feb. 15. A choice of meal must be given at the time of purchase, and tickets are nonrefundable.
Crossroads Community Theatre is the performing arts branch of Walls of Wittenberg and supports WOW programs.
