Theodore (Ted) K. Kuranda, 68, of Iowa City, Iowa, entered into eternal peace on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Ted was born on March 20, 1946, in Chicago, to Walter and the late Bernice (Jenkins) Kuranda.
Ted enjoyed doing puzzles, playing Yahtzee and cards, always trying to sit so he could assure his win over his mother. Ted was also a master at pool and enjoyed traveling.
Ted is survived by his father, Walter Kuranda, of Cecil; brothers, Walt Kuranda, Rich (Betsy) Kuranda and Steve Kuranda; sisters, Janet (Mike) Laffoon, Marilyn (Frank) Blatchford, Carol Daily, Betsy Malnati and Vicki Huffman; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ted was proceeded in death by his mother, Bernice Kuranda, and brothers Gary Kuranda and Stan Kuranda.
Friends and family may call at 10 a.m., with Mass to follow at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at Sacred Heart Parish, 302 S. Main St., Shawano.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, 2720 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City, is assisting the family.
