The Suring High School boys and girls track teams each placed first Thursday at the six-team Hilbert Invitational.
The Suring girls finished 62.5 points ahead of second-place Wrightstown (118). Hilbert-Stockbridge was third at 111.50.
Sophomore Katie Stegeman finished first in the 1,600-meter run, at 5 minutes, 56.57 seconds, and high jump (4 feet, 10 inches). She was also was second in the 800 (2:41.55).
Junior Az VanBellinger snagged second-place finishes in the 100 (13.85), 200 (28.22) and long jump (15-02.00).
Senior thrower Brooke Gauthier was first in the discus (109-01) and third in the shot put (34-05.00), 6 1/2 inches shy of teammate Hailey Baldwin (34-11.50), who finished second.
The boys finished 32 points ahead of second place St. Mary Central (159). Hilbert-Stockbridge (127) was third.
Suring swept all three sprint finals behind the efforts of Will Vollmar (100, 11.75; 200, 24.40) and Creo VanBellinger (400, 53.51). Vollmar also won the long jump, going 19-00.
