St. John performing Christmas cantata

The ecumenical choir at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Gillett will present its annual Christmas cantata during the weekends before and after Christmas Day. “Gloria … the Wonders of His Love” will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 27 and 2 p.m. Dec. 28 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 101 W. Main St., Gillett. Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be accepted. A dessert reception will follow each performance. A cantata is a musical production with narration. This year’s choir boasts more than 25 singers, the most of any cantata since before the pandemic. The cantata features Sharon Belongia, Kayla Blumreich, Johna Brock, John Darga, Judy Darga, Matt Denkert, Clair Erb, LuAnn Erb, Jason Fenendael, Jenny Fenendael, Anita Graziano, Phillip Heroux, Maddy Holmes, Carol Jossie, Darlene Kapelke, Patti Konkle, Bennett Regal, Patty Stabbe, Wayne Strei, Claudette Tipton, Bonnie Tousey, Chique Tousey-Tabar, Mark Vorpahl, Wendy Vorpahl, Leslie Witty, Cathy Wocking, Dan Wright, Sandy Wright, Doug Yahnke and Rick Zill.
