Shawano wins regional soccer title

Oct. 26 Shawano 2, New London 0 The Shawano Hawks are regional soccer champions after shutting out New London 2-0. Shawano will take on Lakeland in sectional action Oct. 31. West Bend West 1, Pulaski 0 The fourth-seeded Red Raiders fell to the fifth-seeded Spartans in the regional championship. Beckett Seifert scored off a corner kick in the fourth minute to give West Bend West a 1-0 advantage. The goal turned out to be the game winner in a contest between two evenly matched teams that combined for seven total shots on goal. Pulaski (14-5-3) lost starting goalkeeper Josh Roth late in the first half to a concussion. Jonah Drevs replaced him and made three saves the rest of the way for the Red Raiders. Brant Feltz made five saves in goal for the Spartans (14-5-1).
