Shawano golfers take third place

Heart of the Valley Metro Championship Aug. 19 Shawano golfers placed third out of 18 teams at the Hearth of the Valley Championship at High Cliff Golf Course on Aug. 19. The Hawks scored 165 and tied Appleton North and Kaukauna 2. Kaukauna 1 won with a 147, followed by Kimberly 1 with a 164. Sophia Eggert and Lily Glysch won in a playoff to take third as a team in a three team-two person scramble/best ball. They scored a 75, there strokes behind two other duos who each scored a 72.
