Season ends for Shawano, Pulaski swim teams

Feb. 15 Ashwaubenon Sectional Pulaski placed third among 11 schools at their sectional meet. In the 200-yard medley, Pulaski’s Patrick Reynolds, Will Gosse, Jace Olson and Carter Grasse finished fourth in 1:45.68. Olson finished second in the 100-yard butterfly in 35.49. Bartolo Lara was third in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:11.10. Placing fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay were Olson, Conrad Kreutzberg, Gosse and Grasse in 1:33.68. Reynolds placed fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 57.72. Claiming fourth place in the 400-yard freestyle relay were Kreutzberg, Thomas Glinski, Gosse and Lara in 3:33.20. Neenah Sectional Jonah Kuba placed 10th in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:25.93, the highest finish for a Shawano/Seymour swimmer at sectionals. Kuba was also 15th in the 200-yard individual medley. The team placed 12th out of 12 teams. Brendon Riehl placed 19th in the 100-yard freestyle and 28th in the 50-yard freestyle. Nate Hilbert placed 33rd in the 50-yard freestyle. James Lange was 29th in the 100-yard freestyle. Nicholas Auchue placed 17th in the 200-yard freestyle. He was also 22nd in the 100-yard backstroke. Liam Laude placed 25th in the 100-yard backstroke. Dawson Maass was 36th in the 50-yard freestyle, Cole Beyer was 37th, and Gage Roberts was 38th. Roberts placed 32nd in the 100-yard freestyle. In the 100-yard breaststroke, Maass was 19th, followed by Marcus Biagini in 20th and Beyer in 21st. Lange was 18th in the 200-yard freestyle, and Laude was 22nd in the 200-yard individual medley.
