Randal L. Zahn, 63, Gillett, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013.
Randy was born July 13, 1950, to the late LeRoy and Beverly (Walters) Zahn. He married Karen Madsen at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Suring. He was a feed nutritionist for many years and later bought the Snap-On franchise, which he operated for 15 years until retiring in January 2013.
Randy enjoyed camping, fishing, being with people, farming and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church, where he spent many years working and served as president.
Randy is survived by his wife, Karen; two sons, Zach Zahn, of Suring, and Caleb (Darlene) Zahn, of Neshkoro; his daughter, Miranda Zahn (David Smith), of McHenry, Ill.; two sisters, Carol (Dan) Kreiser, of Oconto Falls, and Julie (Lynn) Steffeck, of Suring; two granddaughters, Eleanor and Afton.
He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew.
Visitation was held Tuesday at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring. Visitation continues on Wednesday at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Suring from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Fred Mai officiating. Randy will be interred in Frostville Cemetery.
