Pulaski advances to soccer regional championship game

Oct. 22 Pulaski 5, Green Bay Southwest 0 The fourth-seeded Red Raiders took down the 13th-seeded Trojans in first-round playoff action of the boys soccer state tournament. Pulaski (14-3-3) got goals in the fourth and eighth minutes to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. Hudson Schultz and Maddox McKeefry got the goals. Colin Tackmier found the net just before the half to put Pulaski up 3-0. The Red Raiders added two more insurance goals in the second half, courtesy of Josh Aranda and Tate Gerth. Josh Roth and Jonah Drevs combined to earn the shutout in goal for Pulaski. Raymond Arrozal made three saves in goal for Green Bay Southwest. Pulaski will host fifth-seeded West Bend West in a regional championship game Oct. 26. The game will be a 7 p.m. start at Saputo Stadium in Pulaski. Oct. 21 New Holstein 3, Gresham/Bowler 1 Gresham/Bowler lost in the opening round of the Division 4 soccer playoffs, bowing out to New Holstein 3-0. Gresham/Bowler ended the season 1-17, including a 0-12 mark in the Central Wisconsin Conference.
