Bears beat Manawa
The Bonduel High School volleyball team beat Manawa in four games Tuesday in Bonduel.
Courtney Schmidt had 12 assists. Lexi Reinke and Deanna Zernicke had 22 digs each. Jen Dowden had 18 kills for Bonduel (1-0).
Bonduel lost the first game 25-19, but went on to win the next three 25-17, 25-20, 25-18.

Chargers beat Weyauwega-Fremont
The Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School volleyball team won 3-1 against Weyauwega-Fremont on Tuesday in Wittenberg.
The Chargers lost the second game, 25-16, but took the first 25-16 and the last two 25-17, 25-20.
Taylor Bushman had 13 kills and four digs for Wittenberg-Birnamwood (1-0). Micah Nier had 10 kills and seven digs. Madi Bushman had 26 assists.

Gresham tops Tri-County
The Gresham/Bowler high school boys soccer team won 7-2 over Tri-County on Tuesday in Gresham.
Austin Olson had three goals and an assist for Gresham (4-2). Scott Cerveny had two goals and an assist. Drew Payne and Levi Ludvigsen added a goal each.
Neil Cerveny had two saves.

Tigerton sweeps Almond-Bancroft
The Tigerton High School volleyball team swept Almond-Bancroft 3-0 to open Central Wisconsin Conference-10 play Tuesday in Tigerton.
Tigerton won 25-16, 25-16, 25-13.
Sarah Gauthier had 16 points for Tigerton (1-0). Emily Wendt had 10. Katie Watters had eight kills and Kelsey Berg had four. Erin Robbins had nine assists, and Payton Bailey had four blocks.

Marion beats Bowler
The Marion High School volleyball team beat Bowler 3-1 Tuesday in Marion.
Marion won the first game 29-27, lost the second 25-13, then won the last two 25-16, 25-7
Jessica Reminger had 16 points, four kills and 19 assists for Marion (1-0). Bryce Miller had 24 digs and 10 points. Mackenzie Thoma had 14 kills and three blocks.
Michelle Krueger had 15 points and six aces for Bowler (0-1).

Hawks fifth at Marinette
The Shawano Community High School girls golf team took fifth at a Bay Conference match Tuesday at Little River Golf Course in Marinette.
Denmark (182) won the event. Shawano shot a 210.
Megan Beck led the Hawks with a 49. Courtney Baumann shot a 51, Emily Smith 54, Julia Beck 56, Brianna Kempen 59.
Luxemburg-Casco’s Catarina Wurflova was the medalist with a 39.

Shawano, Bonduel at Oconto Falls invite
The Shawano Community High School girls golf team took fourth and Bonduel took seventh Monday at the Oconto Falls Invitational at River Island Golf Course.
Marinette (364) won the event. Shawano had a team score of 429, while Bonduel came in at 486.
Shawano’s Megan Beck had the top local score, shooting 100 and finishing eighth. Courtney Baumann shot 107, Julia Beck 110, Emily Smith 112 and Cheyenne Knueppel 132.
Bonduel’s Elizabeth Schaal shot 112, Taylor Diemel 116, Danielle Lautenbach 126, Morgan Pennings 132 and Samantha Schaal 142.

The Gresham/Bowler high school boys soccer team beat Northland Lutheran 4-2 in a match Monday in Kronenwetter.
