Paul W. Pierce, 73, of Hollister, Florida, and formerly of Shawano, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.
Paul was born on Sept. 12, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late William H. and Virginia C. Pierce.
Paul is survived by his wife of 40 years, Angela Pierce; son, Cole Pierce; brothers, John Pahrump, Nevada, Al (Leona) Camdenton, Missouri, Nick (Betty) Cecil; and sister, Sue Livingston, Texas. He is also survived by his nephews, Michael Pierce, Las Vegas, Nevada, Nicholas (Josh) Pierce (Crissy), New London, Al Pierce, Tinley Park, Illinois, Jason Jones, Plover; nieces, Tiffiny Pierce Kuntz (Bob), Abbotsford, Gina Pierce, Scottsdale, Arizona, Nicole Pierce Jackel (David), Abbotsford, and Nikki Somers, Lake Delton; and his Great Dane, Diesel.
He was preceded in death by his brother Patrick.
For much of his life, Paul was involved in various aspects of the trucking industry, most recently as an owner/operator until he retired to his homestead in Florida, where he and Ange enjoyed days of sunny skies and snowless winters.
Paul and Ange enjoyed traveling with Diesel in their motor home, often visiting their son Cole in Las Vegas when Cole was not serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. An avid Packers fan married to a diehard Bears fan resulted in years of playful rivalries and much fun. Paul will be missed by all of his friends and family.
A memorial will be held in Hollister at the conclusion of cancer research testing by Science Care (Hope).
