Panthers qualify for boys golf sectionals

The Oconto Falls High School golf team advanced to the WIAA Division 2 sectional finals following a third-place finish May 26 at Crystal Springs Golf Course in Seymour. Marinette captured the regional championship with a 321, with Waupaca (328) second and Oconto Falls (339) third. Leading the way for the Panthers was senior Jacob Stoinski, who took second among 45 golfers, finishing with a 4-over-par 76. Jordan Koppa (84) was 10th. “We played great at our regional with our seniors leading the way,” Panthers coach Scott Schroeder said. “Jacob took second with a 76, and Jordan was 10th with an 84.
