Pamela A. Polley, 60, of Tigerton, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2014, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Pamela Ann Polley was born on Oct. 8, 1953, in Tigerton to Edward and Ada (Omitt) Polley.
In 1971, she graduated from Tigerton High School. In 1978, Pam was united in marriage to Donald Dankmeyer; the couple separated in 1997. She worked as a cook and baker at the Old Village Café in Tigerton for many years. Pam also did babysitting of numerous children for some time and always loved kids, especially a little girl named McKenzie. She moved to North Carolina in 2000, where she met Blair, and a few years later the couple returned to Tigerton.
Pam was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Pam liked to decorate her home for the holidays. She was an excellent cook and baker, and she enjoyed spending time with family and her dog, Molly. She also liked to watch NASCAR and support her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Pam will be remembered most as a caring person with a wonderful sense of humor.
Survivors include her significant other, Blair Doak, of Tigerton, and two sisters, Sally (Bruce) Matson-Herrmann, of Wittenberg, and Sharon Dedolph, of Tigerton. There is one sister-in-law, Doris Johnson, of Wittenberg. She is further survived by many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Edward “Hard Rock” Johnson and Roger Polley, and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Matson and Lee Dedolph.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 20, at 11 a.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton. The Rev. Matthew Uttenreither will officiate, and inurnment will be at Evergreen Rest Cemetery, Elderon. Friends may call on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
