A second-half rally carried the Oconto Falls High School girls basketball team to its second Bay Conference victory of the season Friday.
The Panthers entered halftime clinging to a 15-11 lead against Menasha before outscoring the visitors 24-14 in the second half to post a 39-25 win.
Senior 5-foot-4 guard Elizabeth Manns rattled off five 3-pointers on six attempts to lead the Panthers with 15 points. It was the sixth time in seven games that she has scored in double figures. She also had six boards and two steals against Menasha.
Junior 5-4 point guard Bailey Wolf converted 5 of 8 free throws and finished with 10 points, including a 3-pointer. Wolf also led Oconto Falls (3-4, 2-3 Bay) with seven assists.
Senior forward Kayla Virtues had 10 rebounds to lead the Panthers on the boards.
Maddy Hoekstra led Menasha (0-9, 0-5 Bay) with six points.
Oconto Falls was without one of its leading scorers, Maddy Helmle, who suffered a head injury Dec. 16 in a 39-16 loss at New London.
The Panthers summoned Kaitlyn Donart from the junior varsity squad to take Helmle’s place Friday. Donart scored three points on her only attempt of the game.
Helmle said she expects to return to action Dec. 29 when the Panthers face Port Washington at the Manitowoc Lincoln Holiday Tournament.
