Proceedings for May 28
Travis R. Pecha, 27, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to one misdemeanor charge and two felony charges of strangulation and suffocation, domestic abuse, on April 12 in Pensaukee. A $5,000 cash bond continues. A status conference is June 17.
A preliminary hearing was held for Nancy Copeland, 56, Oconto, on two misdemeanor charges and a felony charge of battery of a peace officer on May 4 in Oconto. A $3,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment is June 6.
Proceedings from May 27
Chaun C. Lesage, 34, Townsend, pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor charges and a felony charge of manufacture or deliver THC on July 25 in Townsend. A $2,000 signature bond continues. A status conference is June 30.
An initial appearance was held for John E. Brabant, 62, Oconto Falls, on charges of repeated sexual assault of same child Nov. 1, 2010, through Dec. 31 in Oconto Falls. The court set a $5,000 cash bond. A continued initial appearance is June 5.
A final pretrial conference and plea hearing were held for Tasha M. Carter, 24, Pulaski, on charges of battery to law enforcement officers, firefighters or commission wardens, on Sept. 27 in Chase. The court dismissed charges of resisting an officer, cause great bodily harm, and disorderly conduct. A $15,000 cash bond continues. A sentencing hearing is July 18.
Sierra R. Blaschuk, 21, Lena, entered a no contest plea to two misdemeanor charges and a felony charge of identity theft -financial gain on March 23 in Oconto Falls. The court read in two additional misdemeanor charges from Jan. 13 in Townsend. Sentencing is July 14.
Matthew R. Pearson, 21, Niagara, sentenced to six years of probation on charges of burglary of a building, theft-movable property as party to a crime and theft-movable property greater than $5,000-$10,000 as party to a crime, which occurred on Sept. 6, 2012, in Abrams. Charges of theft-movable property greater than $5000-$10,000 and burglary to a building Sept. 6, 2012, in Shiocton, were also read in. He is to pay Oconto County restitution and fees of $895.50, and Outagamie County restitution and fees of $20,828.13.

Yvonne M. Knutson, 49, Oconto, pleaded not guilty to charges of possession with intent to deliver narcotics, possession with intent to deliver non-narcotics on Sept. 1, 2008. The court suspended proceedings on one count of possession with intent to deliver narcotics for three years, pending the completion of a deferred prosecution agreement and ordered a presentence investigation for possession with intent to deliver non-narcotics. All other charges were dismissed. A $20,000 signature bond continues. Sentencing is July 14.

A preliminary hearing was held for Donald L. Tappa, 39, Oconto, on charges of arson of a building, two counts burglary and one count theft on Dec. 24 and 25 in Oconto. A $100,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment is June 20.
A waiver preliminary hearing was held for Leonardo Juarez, 45, Chicago, on charges of false imprisonment on April 29 in Oconto. A $10,000 cash bond continues. An arraignment and bond review are scheduled for May 28.
An adjourned initial appearance/bail bond hearing was held for Kyle K. Sydor, 25, Oconto on charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated second offence, injury by intoxicated use of a vehicle and reckless driving causing bodily harm on May 8 in Oconto. The court reduced bond from a $15,000 cash to $10,000. A continued initial appearance is June 20.
An initial appearance and bond hearing was held for Kelly P. Grybowski, 19, Lena on a charge of intimidate victim/threaten force and a misdemeanor charge on May 17 in Oconto. The court set a $5,000 cash bond. An adjourned initial appearance is June 5.
A waiver preliminary hearing and arraignment was held for Steven N. Lewis Jr., 25, Oconto Falls, on two misdemeanor charges and a felony charge of burglary of a building on March 7 in the town of Oconto Falls. A pre-trial conference is June 5.
Patrick M. Heath, 33, Wichita, Kansas, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on charges of bail jumping on Sept. 16 in Oconto, and operating while intoxicated fifth or sixth offense with passenger under 16 and operating without a valid driver’s license on June 15 in Mountain. The court dismissed the charge of bail jumping. He was sentenced to two years and two months of incarceration and four years of extended supervision.
