Robert Voss, 101, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, in Shawano. He was born Feb. 1, 1920, in Tinley Park, Illinois, to the late Walter and Frieda (Leiss) Voss.
Arvin L. Schrank
Arvin Lewis Schrank, 95, of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at The Cottages in Shawano. He was born Sept. 17, 1925, in Wittenberg, to the late Emil Raul and Mary Pauline (Liesch) Schrank. Arvin enlisted in the United States Army and served his country from 1943 to 1946, when he was honorably discharged. He served as the mayor of Shawano from 1970 to 1974. He worked many jobs in real estate and insurance.
Allen Hansen
Allen Hansen, 84, passed away peacefully at Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania, Australia, on May 15, 2021. Born in Oconto, he was the oldest child of Irving and Anna (Ottow) Hansen. Allen was raised in Lena, graduated from Lena High School in 1954 and graduated from UW-Madison in 1958 with a degree in mining engineering and naval science. Allen proudly served as a captain in the Marines, flying helicopters in Vietnam.
Gerald Hillman
Gerald “Jerry” Hillman, 94, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Jerry was born March 13, 1927, to the late Joseph and Cecilia (Banich) Hillman in Milwaukee. Jerry was united in marriage on June 25, 1949, in Milwaukee to the late Joye Hampel. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and graduated from UW-Madison in 1950. Jerry was very involved in many organizations.
Deanna Novotny
On Saturday, June 5, 2021, Deanna “Dee” (Drake) Novotny went to join her beloved Savior in heaven. She was born Jan. 7, 1941, in Clintonville to Oscar and June (Maas) Drake. All of her early life was spent on the north shore of Shawano Lake. Dee attended North Beach School, a one-room schoolhouse.
William John Arendt
William John Arendt, 76, of Gresham, passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, in Shawano. Bill was born on Sept. 10, 1944, to the late John and Esther (Jung) Arendt. Bill graduated from West Bend High School and received a football scholarship from Colgate University where he graduated with a degree in Geology.
Milosch Domazet
Milosch “Milos” Domazet, of Shawano, formerly of Clintonville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021, one day after celebrating his 71st birthday with family. Milos was born on June 8, 1950, in Willensen, Germany, as the son of the late Trifun and Gisela (Oppermann) Domazet.
