Mary Helen Umland, 79, of Green Bay, formerly of Shawano, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay. Mary was born in Shawano on March 23, 1943, the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Ludolph) Wagner. She attended school in Shawano. On Oct. 5, 1963, Mary was united in marriage to Frederick (Fritz) Umland. Fritz preceded her in death on Sept.
Patricia M. “Pat” Muck
Patricia M. “Pat” Muck, 92, Pulaski, died Friday morning, July 8, 2022, at her home. Pat was born June 2, 1930, to Joseph and Bernadine (Peplinski) Marnocha and was a lifelong Pulaski area resident. On March 26, 1951, she was united in marriage to William Muck at Assumption BVM Church in Pulaski.
Rodney E. Best
Rodney E. Best, 79, of Wittenberg, died Thursday, June 2, 2022, at his home in Wittenberg following a short bout with cancer. Rodney was born July 19, 1942, to Ivan and Hilda (Austin) Best in Dane County. He grew up on the family farm and always had a Love for the land.
John A. Kupsky
John A. Kupsky, 85, went to his eternal home on Monday, June 20, 2022. He was the second of three sons and one daughter born to Adolph and Cecelia (Marquardt) Kupsky in Shawano on April 25, 1937. He attended St. James Lutheran Elementary School in Shawano and Shawano High School, graduating in 1955. Then he attended Concordia Teachers College, in River Forest, Illinois, and graduated with a teaching degree.
Jane Ann Rusch
Our Mom was called to heaven on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Jane Ann Rusch, 84, died suddenly, but peacefully at Bellin Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side. Jane was born in Oconto to Elmer and Beulah Johnston. She shared her early years with brothers, Bill and Jack who watched over their little sister after their mother died of cancer when Jane was 11. Meeting the love of her life in her early teens, Jane married Walter A.
Colleen M. Bigelow
Colleen M. Bigelow, Oconto Falls, was born July 29, 1943, in Milwaukee to Russell and Bernice (Henne) Mansteen. When she was 13 years old, Colleen moved to Oconto Falls where she graduated with the class of 1961. On May 18, 1963, she married Paul Bigelow at Grace Lutheran Church and they had two children. Paul and Colleen raised their family in Oconto Falls where she worked at the West Side Mart and later Witt’s Piggly Wiggly.
Doris J. Kerstner
Doris J. Kerstner, 86, of Wausau, died on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at her son’s home with her family by her side. Doris was born July 17, 1935, to the late Albert and Eleanor (Forsberg) Strelow. She married Donald Kerstner in Bowler in 1954. Doris loved to cook and share meals with family and friends, especially on holidays. She enjoyed crafting with friends, weaving baskets, coloring her pencil sketches and creating greeting cards.
