The Oconto County Youth Fair observed its 85th anniversary this year, but an area 4-H club has been around for almost as long.

The Christy Brook 4-H Club, one of nine 4-H clubs in Oconto County, is turning 75 this year, according to Melissa Desterheft, the club’s co-leader.

When most people think about back pain, they think about discomfort, stiffness or difficulty getting through everyday activities. But research suggests that some back pain may have a much greater impact than many people realize.

Sacred Heart Catholic School will host Rachel’s Challenge on Sept. 10, bringing a nationally recognized program focused on kindness, compassion, connection and positive action to students in grades K-8.

The new school year started early for Sacred Heart Catholic School as students, families, and staff came together to celebrate the return to campus.

On Aug. 25, families gathered for Back-to-School Night, providing an opportunity for students and parents to visit classrooms, meet teachers, reconnect with friends and prepare for the year ahead.

Prevea Health is holding Movement Matters, a series of free presentations centered on staying active and pain-free at every age.

Attendees are welcome to join for a single topic, any combination of two, or the entire series. Each standalone session pairs expert insight from a Prevea specialist with a free slice of pie and a cup of coffee.
