Kathleen “Sister Girl” Pewewardy, 66, formerly of Minneapolis, currently residing in Shawano, died at ManorCare on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.
Born on May 21, 1947, in Lawton, Okla., she is the daughter of the late Thelma Connahvichnah.
She loved to go to the casino and play bingo.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Andrew Des Jarlait, of Red Lake, Minn., Timothy Des Jarlait, of Suring, Kimberly Des Jarlait, of Chicago; her grandchildren, Antasia Statley, Jaymzie, Daphne, Sebastian and Alfred Des Jarlait; brother and sister-in-law, Roderick and Rita Connahvichnah, of Keshena; and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
She is preceded in death by her significant other, Gilbert Eason; her son, James Des Jarlait; and a brother, Edward “Popeye” Connahvichnah.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Comanche Nation Funeral Home in Lawton, Okla. Burial will follow at the Otipoby Cemetery in Fort Sill, Okla. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-7 p.m.
