Florence E. Buelow

Florence Emma Buelow, 93, of Bonduel, entered into eternal rest with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013. Born on Dec. 18, 1919, in the town of Hartland, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Minnie (Ehlers) Boerst. On July 23, 1938, she married Edwin Knueppel at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Together the couple farmed on the home farm in the town of Lessor until his death on March 7, 1964. On Oct. 3, 1970, she married Alfred Buelow, who also preceded her in death on April 12, 1993. Florence was a homemaker and lifetime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel, where she was active with the Altar Guild. She also worked at the Pulaski Shoe Factory and the Bonduel Pickle Factory. She loved to dance and was a great cook and baker. Florence is survived by her son, Roger (Kay) Knueppel, of Shawano; three daughters, Karen Mitchell, of Green Bay, Audrey (Allen) Marohl, of Bonduel, and Marilyn (John) Dobratz, of Bonduel; stepchildren, Sue (Brent) Hofman, of Clover Leaf Lakes, Terry Buelow, of Shawano, and Wayne Buelow, of Shawano; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren and seven great-stepgrandchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Leonard and Carola Buelow; a sister-in-law, Arlene Buelow; and many nieces and nephews. Florence was preceded in death by her first husband, Edwin Knueppel; her second husband, Alfred Buelow; daughter-in-law, Rojean Knueppel; granddaughter, Kristine Knueppel Reinke; a great-grandson, Justin Jeske; her parents; a brother, Maynard Boerst; and a sister, Dora Drage. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family asks that donations be made to the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bonduel.
