A town of Washington bar operator already facing drug charges from an undercover sting in September is now facing new charges after a second bust last week.
Tyler R. Jaster, 21, was in court Monday for an appearance on a felony charge of possession of marijuana.
He was already facing felony charges of second or subsequent offense possession of marijuana and manufacture and delivery of marijuana.
Jaster could face a maximum 3½ years and a $10,000 fine on each of the drug counts if convicted. He is also charged with two counts of felony bail jumping, each of which carries a maximum six years and $10,000 fine.
Jaster operates the Pit Stop bar at W4890 Lake Drive in the town of Washington.
Jaster holds the license for the bar operation, but leases the building from another party, according to town records.
The Pit Stop was the target of an undercover operation in September after Shawano County authorities received information alleging drug activity there.
An undercover officer made contact with Jaster at the bar on Sept. 28 and traded counterfeit Adderall pills for marijuana, according to the criminal complaint.
Shawano County sheriff’s deputies returned to the bar on Oct. 27; this time following up on an underage drinking complaint.
Jaster and three minors were in the bar at the time, according to the criminal complaint.
Two of the minors were cited after breath tests showed they had been drinking.
Jaster had also been drinking in violation of the conditions of his bond in the pending drug case, the complaint states.
As Jaster was being taken into custody, deputies found a plastic wrapper on him that contained marijuana, according to the complaint.
Jaster is being held on a $3,000 cash bond and is scheduled for an adjourned initial appearance on Monday.
