Shawano Police Department Sept. 29 Police logged 30 incidents, including the following: Disturbance — A charge of battery was referred against a 28-year-old Wittenberg man after police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of South Union Street. The victim, a 28-year-old Shawano woman, was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant through the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department. Suspicious — Police responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 100 block of Acorn Street. Juvenile — Police logged 11 truancy complaints from Shawano Community High School, 220 County Road B. Theft — Dearco Distributing, 1499 E. Green Bay St., reported a theft of aluminum. Shoplifting — A 22-year-old man was cited for shoplifting at Walmart, 1244 E. Green Bay St. Arrest — A 29-year-old Shawano man was taken into custody after police assisted the Grand Chute Police Department with a search warrant in the 300 block of South Andrews Street. According to the police report, the man was suspected of stealing a trailer in Grand Chute and was out on bond. Drug Offense — Police investigated a drug complaint in the 800 block of East Richmond Street. Shawano County Sheriff’s Department Sept. 29 Deputies logged 43 incidents, including the following: Theft — A handheld computer was reported stolen on Kroenke Creek Road in the town of Herman. Theft — A pontoon trailer was reported stolen on Loon Lake Road in Wescott. Assault — Authorities investigated an assault on Linquest Road in Green Valley. Theft — Authorities responded to a property theft complaint on state Highway 160 in Maple Grove. Trespass — Authorities responded to a trespassing complaint on Main Street in Birnamwood. Juvenile — Authorities responded to a juvenile problem on Prouty Street in Wittenberg. Juvenile — Authorities responded to a juvenile problem on Pearl Street in Birnamwood. Disturbance — Authorities responded to a disturbance on Butternut Road in Birnamwood. Accidents — Authorities logged two deer-related crashes. Clintonville Police Department Sept. 29 Police logged nine incidents, including the following: Disturbance — Officers responded to a report of a disturbance on South Main Street between two males. It was found they were wrestling due to a bet made. Arrest — Officers assisted Marathon County in taking into custody a male subject that was located on South Main Street after he had failed to return to jail after a work release Friday.
