Henry A. Mandel

Henry “Hank” A. Mandel, 77, of Shawano, passed away on Oct. 27, 2014, after a year and a half battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 9, 1937, in Two Rivers to the late Henry and Mabel (Kappelman) Mandel. On Oct. 16, 1998, Henry was united in marriage to Carol Niesen. Henry served in the National Guard and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ. Henry was also an avid bowler and golfer. Henry is survived by his wife, Carol; his children and stepchildren, Scott (Sue) Mandel, Debra (Paul) Schmidt, Peter (Jean) Mandel, Pam (Brian) Schmidt, Todd (Karen) Mandel, Todd (Andrea) Williamson, Pauline (Derek) Ho, Julie (Gene) Wild and Mark (Lisa) Williamson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Joyce Sinkula; his sister-in-law, Pat Mandel; a special aunt, Bernice (the late Bernie) Sinkula; and other relatives and friends. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Paul Mandel; one brother-in-law, Leonard Sinkula; stepson, Willy Williamson; and a great-grandson, Korik Rauen. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, at the Peace United Church of Christ with the Rev. Marty Black officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
