Joan D. Kranzusch, 82, of Shawano, formally of Black Creek, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014. Joan was born on July 24, 1932, in Split Rock to the late Joe and Annie (Kersten) Bazile. Joan was united in marriage on May 28, 1955, to Elmer Kranzusch in Appleton. The couple owned and operated Village Bakery in Black Creek for 18 years before moving to Shawano. She loved cooking and baking, even after retiring from the bakery. Joan loved rides in the Model A and was a member of the Nicolet Model A Club.
Joan is survived by her husband of 59 years, Elmer; her son, Mark (Karen) Kranzusch, of Shawano; Mark’s son, Steve (Darla Dick) Kastning and Steve’s children, Allen and Aliviah; Mark’s daughter, Brenda (Jeff) Heath and Brenda’s children, Whitney, Vanessa, and Isaac. Joan is further survived by son-in-law, Erik Femal, of DePere, and his children, Tim, Brian and Kristina Femal; a daughter-in-law, Janean Kranzusch, of Appleton; two brothers, Gary Bazile, of Center Valley, and Joe (Anna) Bazile, of Manawa; as well as other relatives and friends.
Joan is preceded in death by two children, Glen Kranzusch and Marsha Femal; her parents; and a brother, Myron Bazile.
Visitation will be held at Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano, on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014, from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service, which will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Kuehn officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
