Larry W. Nohr

Larry Nohr, 72, of Bonduel, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014. Born March 13, 1942, to the late Wesley and Esther (Rosenbaum) Nohr, Larry grew up in Bonduel and attended Bonduel schools. After graduation, he started his career as a truck driver. Larry worked for various companies before retiring from Packerland Transport after more than 30 years of service and having driven 3,650,111 safe miles. Larry was proud to have been the president of Packerland Independent Driver’s Union. On Sept. 26, 1964, Larry was united in marriage to Sue Zernicke at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Together, the couple biked numerous miles in Wisconsin and the surrounding states. Larry enjoyed woodworking, golfing and spending his winters in Florida. Larry is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sue Nohr of Bonduel; two children, Patti (Charles) Jennings, of Marshfield, and Todd (Mavis) Nohr, of Belleview, Florida; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his siblings, Sherrie (Jim) Cottrell, of Edgerton, Glenn (Shirley) Nohr, of Bonduel, Monie (Clayton) Blom, of Wausau, and Dina (Orrie Klosterman) Schoenfeld, of Shawano. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, SueAnn. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial was held in the church cemetery. Visitation was held at the church on Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, from 5-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
