The Wolf River Circuit of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary Society will hold its spring rally April 11 at St. John Town of Center, N3505 State Highway 47, Appleton. The rally is being co-hosted by Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church, Ellington.
The theme for the rally is 1 Thessalonians 3:12 “May the Lord make your Love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.”
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with opening devotion by Pastor Ron Ash at 9 a.m. Pastor Ben Kuerth of Victory of the Lamb Ev. Lutheran Church, Franklin, will be the guest speaker. His presentation will focus on starting a mission church in Wisconsin. A Bible study will follow, led by Pastor Micah Martin. There will be a business meeting with election of officers, and Pastor Preston Heuer will lead the closing devotion.
A luncheon will be served by the ladies of St. John and Trinity. Child care will be provided.
Circuit member congregations include Bethlehem, Hortonville; Divine Savior, Shawano; Emanuel, New London; Grace, Sugar Bush; Immanuel, Black Creek; Immanuel, Greenville; Immanuel, Waupaca; Messiah, Shiocton; Peace, Wautoma; St. John’s, East Bloomfield; St. John’s, Town of Center-Appleton; St. Paul’s Stephensville-Hortonville; St. Peter’s, Weyauwega; Trinity, Ellington-Appleton; Trinity, Redgranite; and Zion, Readfield.
The LWMS was organized in 1964 to help support mission programs of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
