Charla Lyons

Charla Kay Lyons, 59, of Marion, passed away on Friday, Aug. 28, 2015. She was born to Roger and Goldie (Bruette) Schreiber in Shawano on June 8, 1956. On June 15, 1974, Charla was united in marriage to James “Dude” Lyons Sr. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Charla and James have been together since they were 15 years old. Charla was a loving and joyful person. She was often happy and laughing. She loved caring for others and watching “The Young and the Restless.” She was known for her fry bread and chili that everyone loved. Charla will be deeply missed by her husband and children. Charla is survived by her husband, James “Dude” Lyons Sr., of Marion; her children, Destinee (Chris Kilgore) Lyons, of Marion, James Jr. “Baby Dude” (Lynn Teal) Lyons, of Clintonville, and Tiffany (Raymond) Creapeau, of Gresham; grandchildren, Jordan, her favorite De’ Sean, Sha’ Rae, Christinee, Kalisa, Baby James III, Raymond “Baby Ray,” Deione, and Andre; stepgrandchildren, Demetrius and Cecelia; her favorite brother, Randy Schreiber, and sister, Cheryl Le Blanc; daughter-in-law, Jill Lyons; favorite godchild, Bearnard Fouler; brothers-in-law, Kerry Lee Perez and Kevin Lyons Sr. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Charla was preceded in death by her grandson, Jordan James; her parents, Roger and Goldie; mother-in-law, Pat Pocan Perez; brother-in-law, Ricky Lyons; nephew, Francis Wahsquonaikezhik; great-nephew, Patrick Perez. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. Dave Barrett officiating. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in the town of Menominee. Visitation will be held at the Creapeau residence, 901 Bartelt St., Gresham, until the procession leaves for church on Wednesday.
