Oconto County Sheriff’s Department

At 3:08 p.m. April 22 in Suring, a Suring woman made a sharp left turn from an alley into the driveway entering the N.E.W. Credit Union’s parking lot at 717 Main St. and struck a power pole. The vehicle sustained minor damage. At 8:55 p.m. April 23 in Little River, a vehicle driven by a Green Bay man was traveling south on U.S. Highway 41 just north of County Road A and sideswiped the vehicle of an Oconto driver while trying to pass. The Green Bay man’s vehicle veered into the median. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. The Green Bay driver was cited for exceeding the speed limit, speed too fast for conditions, and failure to have control. At 1 a.m. April 20, a male driver from Green Bay was southbound on West Frontier Road north of Creek View Drive in the town of Abrams when his vehicle drifted across the center line and drove onto the east shoulder, hitting a traffic sign. He swerved back onto the road, crossing over both lanes of traffic and lost control. His vehicle entered the east ditch and hit highway fencing. It overturned and came to rest on the passenger side. The driver was transported to an area hospital with possible injuries, and the vehicle was towed.
