The CMH Pharmacy–Gillett will expand its weekday hours starting Thursday and introduce new Saturday hours.
The pharmacy, located at Pat’s Market, 117 N. McKenzie St., will be open one hour later, until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The pharmacy opens at 9 a.m. New Saturday hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The CMH Pharmacy–Gillett is staffed by pharmacist Angie Lane.
“Since opening the full-service pharmacy in Gillett back in March of 2013, we have seen a steady increase of new patients,” said Jason Knox, pharmacy manager. “We have also listened to these patients, and they have told us that being open later during the week and on Saturdays would be very convenient.”
“Our patients appreciate that they do not need to travel outside of their communities to access the prescriptions and over-the-counter medications that they need,” Lane said.
The CMH Pharmacy offers free mail-out service, and prescription refills can be phoned in at any time of day at 920-848-6323. CMH now fills prescriptions at seven area locations, in Mountain, Suring, Gillett, Pulaski, Oconto Falls, Lena and Oconto.
Until CMH Pharmacy opened, Gillett had been without a pharmacy since 1997, when Russell’s Low Drug closed its doors with the retirement of its owner, pharmacist Ken Geiger, after 21 years in business.
