Wayne E. Wagner

Wayne E. Wagner, 76, of Suring, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014. He was born in Bridgewater, S.D., on Oct. 13, 1937, to the late Claus and Anna Englebrecht Wagner. Wayne married Sandy Schmude on March 11, 1961, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh. The couple farmed and owned a dry cleaning business near Berlin. He worked as an IBEW industrial electrician and retired in 1999. He enjoyed doing woodworking projects for his family in his shop. Wayne, devoted husband and loving father, is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandy, of Suring; three children, Michelle (Eric) Nikolai, of St. Jacob, Ill., Scott (Tina) Wagner, of Appleton, Amy (Fritz) Heidenreich, of Green Bay; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Norman. Visitation was held at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church in Suring on Saturday, May 24, from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
