The 60th annual Lakewood Mardi Gras parade featured grand marshals Loren and Virginia Nelson.
Parade winners were Wabeno High School, bands; Smokey Bear, civic; Lakewood SuperValu and Old Town Hall Restaurant, originality; Timberline Restaurant and Flynn Oil, comic; and Laona State Bank and Apple Valley Nursery, commercial.
Special recognition went to the fire departments of Lakewood, Townsend, Doty and Riverview, the Wabeno Legion Post 44 and Jeff Mursau.
Special honor went to the “In Memory of Terry Rank” float by Lakewood SuperValu.
The 2015 dates for Mardi Gras are July 17, 18 and 19.
