Michael “Mike” C. Malison, of Waukesha, died on Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Wheaton Franciscan St. Francis Hospital at the age of 64. He was born in Cadott on Oct. 28, 1949, the son of Charles and Irene (nee Hartenstein) Malison. On March 29, 1969, he married Malinda Nelson at St. Mark’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
He retired from the United States Army Reserve, where he proudly served his country. Mike worked for Western State Envelope for over 20 years. In his retirement, he worked at Bob’s Homes in Peshtigo and as a hunting guide in the Upper Peninsula. Mike loved being up north and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Malinda, of Waukesha, and their children, Terri (fiancé David Grochowski) Malison, of Greenfield, Michael “MC” (Kimberly) Malison, of Bay View, and Jeffery Allen (Revel) Malison, of Oconomowoc; his grandchildren, Naomi, Hannah, Isaiah, Alexis, Riley, Ty, Cooper and Graham, and his mother, Irene (Gerald) McKenzie, of Mukwonago. He is further survived by his sisters, Sandy (Jerry) Vines, of Waukesha, Dawn Malison, of Waukesha, and Susan (Warren) Meyer, of Wilmot; his mother-in-law, Amy Nelson, of Waukesha; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Malison, and his father-in-law, Maynard Nelson.
A celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.
