An adjourned initial appearance was held for Brian S. Greetan, 33, Oconto Falls, on one felony charge of child abuse recklessly causing harm, party to a crime, and five misdemeanor charges May 27 and Sept. 14 in Oconto Falls. A $5,100 cash bond continues. A preliminary hearing is Oct. 2.
Tyler J. Valek, 24, Gillett, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of strangulation and suffocation Aug. 3 in the town of Gillett. The court dismissed a repeater charge and misdemeanor charges and revoked his bond of $10,000. Sentencing is Nov. 12.
Wendy S. Pogrant, 51, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to second degree recklessly endangering safety, manufacture/deliver amphetamine March 1 to May 28 in Oconto Falls. The court dismissed all other charges. A $10,000 bond continues. A sentencing hearing is Nov. 12.
A status conference/waiver preliminary hearing was held for Philip J. Giese, 19, Oconto, on felony charges of burglary of a building or dwelling, as a party to a crime (19 counts), theft of movable property-special facts, as a party to a crime (seven counts) and 30 misdemeanor charges from Jan. 1 to March 9 in Riverview and Mountain. An initial appearance/waiver preliminary hearing was held for Kyle L. Davis, 17, Mountain, on felony charges of burglary of a building or dwelling, as a party to a crime (five counts) and 10 misdemeanor charges from Jan. 27 to Feb. 16 in Riverview. The court set a $5,000 signature bond and a $15,000 cash bond. An arraignment/status conference is Oct. 15.
Rickey L. Lewis, 37, Oconto Falls, pleaded no contest to felony charges of possession with the intent to deliver THC and possession of drug paraphernalia May 19 in the town of Oconto Falls. The court amended the charges from felonies to misdemeanors. Charges of maintaining a drug trafficking place, felony possession of firearm and two misdemeanor charges of possession of drugs and paraphernalia were read in and dismissed. He was sentenced to 106 days in jail.
A waiver preliminary hearing/arraignment was held for Jeremia B. Spohn, 27, Townsend, on a felony charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle (second offense) and a misdemeanor charge Aug. 29 in Townsend. A $20,000 cash bond continues. A pretrial conference is Nov. 13.

Proceedings from Sept. 19
Philip R. Tetting, 58, Suring, pleaded no contest to charges of vehicle operator flee/elude officer June 8 in Breed. The court amended the offense to a misdemeanor and sentenced him to nine months jail and one year probation.
Alexander S. Arias, 18, Green Bay, pleaded no contest to felony charges of contribute to delinquency of a child and exposing genitals to a child Nov. 2-12 in Mountain. A $10,000 signature bond continues. Sentencing is Nov. 14.
A waiver preliminary hearing was held for Timothy J. Matuszak, 53, Green Bay, on a felony charge of child abuse-intentionally cause harm and a misdemeanor July 19 in Oconto. A $500 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Nov. 7.

A preliminary hearing was held for Brandon J. Mier, 32, Oconto, on two felony charges of child abuse- intentionally cause harm May 28 in the town of Oconto. A $500 cash bond continues. An arraignment is Oct. 9.
An initial appearance was held for Casey L. Shufelt, 31, Oconto, on a felony charge of aggravated battery hate crime and a misdemeanor charge Sept. 19 in Oconto. The court set a $15,000 cash bond. An adjourned initial appearance is Oct. 9.
James E. McDonald, 24, Oconto, was sentenced to concurrent sentences for the following: three years prison and three years extended supervision for felony bail jumping and for strangulation and suffocation, three years imprisonment and five years extended supervision for intimidate victim/use or attempt force, nine months jail for domestic abuse, nine months jail and payment of $592.05 to the victim for a criminal damage to property charge. Read in and dismissed were charges of strangulation and suffocation, domestic abuse, child abuse, endanger safety/use dangerous weapon and criminal damage to property. A disorderly conduct charge was dismissed.
