Deer advisory council meeting on Oct. 28

The Oconto County Deer Advisory Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, to discuss deer population objectives during the next three years. The meeting will be held at the Gillett Community Library, 200 E. Main St. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in a comment period of the meeting. Statements will be limited to three minutes. Deer population objectives in Oconto County for the next three years will be the main topic of discussion. Another meeting will be held in December before the council’s final recommendations are forwarded to the state Natural Resources Board for consideration in February. County deer advisory councils are a new part of the state deer management process.
