The Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation received a $250,000 donation from the K.C. Stock Foundation Inc. in support of Oconto Hospital. The foundation was notified of the gift on Dec. 19.
“What a delightful Christmas gift for the foundation,” said Dr. John Honish, president Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation. “The joy of having quality local health care readily accessible and serving the health and wellness needs for our local community and the surrounding area is a dream that has come true. We are very thankful for the generous support given by the K.C. Stock Foundation Inc.”
In 2011 the Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation approved a $1.5 million fundraising objective in support of the Oconto Hospital $17 million expansion project. The four-bed hospital built in 2005 was expanded in 2012.
The Oconto Hospital Citizens’ Foundation $1.5 million capital campaign has raised $1,384,388 to date, and is now $115,612 short of its goal. Naming opportunities remain available in the Oconto Hospital expansion project.
