Doris M. Durocher, 91, Oconto Falls, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, 2015, at Sharpe Care. She was born March 22, 1923, in Oconto to Bernard and Frances (McKeever) Peck.
Doris grew up in Oconto Falls, where she attended St. Anthony Catholic School before graduating from Oconto Falls High School with the Class of 1941. On July 30, 1941, she married Leonard J. Durocher in Oconto Falls.
Doris lived most of her life in Oconto Falls, where she was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, participating in the Bible study group and PCCW. She was a longtime member of the Oconto Falls Legion Auxiliary, volunteered for Oconto County Breakfast on the Farm and enjoyed playing cards.
Survivors are her three daughters, Janet (Darrell) Allen, Brookside, Jeanne (Rick Chouinard) Durocher, Crivitz, Gale (David “Emil”) Pagel, Abrams; one daughter-in-law, Florence Durocher, Lena; 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard, in 1990; her son, Thomas, in 2012; one brother, Jim Peck; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2015, at Jones Funeral Service in Oconto Falls, with prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday and Legion Auxiliary service to follow. Visitation will continue at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Oconto Falls after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, 2015, until the time of service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
