United True Value, 415 E. Highland Drive, reported Feb. 23 a young female shoplifted a $10 pair of ankle leggings. Police counseled two juveniles Feb. 24 at Oconto Falls Elementary School after a teacher reported they were involved in a fight. A K-9 search of Oconto Falls High School on Feb. 24 resulted in one alert involving a vehicle in the student parking lot. A student acknowledged smoking marijuana in the vehicle in the past, but no drugs or drug paraphernalia was found Feb. 24. A K-9 search at Washington Middle School Feb. 24 resulted in no alerts. Feral cats were caught in live traps Feb. 25, Feb. 27 and March 3 on Columbia Street, and they were taken to the Oconto Area Humane Society. A grandmother on Chestnut Avenue reported her 15-year-old granddaughter did not return home Feb. 26. The girl was located at an Oconto Falls residence and was returned to her home. A 21-year-old woman on Bronson Avenue reported someone had fraudulently filed income taxes using her name and personal information. A man from Utah on March 4 reported putting down money for work to be done by Boss Machine, 702 Ralph Lemorande Drive, and the work was never completed.
