Sallie Anne Davis, 72, of Wrightstown, formerly of Mountain, passed away on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at her home. She was born in Abrams on Nov. 17, 1942, to the late Edward and Marjorie (Wescott) Longsine.
Sallie graduated from Wabeno High School with the Class of 1961. She married Joel Davis in 1963, and for many years the couple lived in Mountain, where Sallie raised their three children, and moved to Wrightstown in 1995. Her favorite pastimes included crocheting, fishing and shopping. Sallie was very proud of her grandchildren and loved them very much.
She is survived by her daughter, Paula (Dwayne) Bargenquast, of Kaukauna; her son, Robert (Pam) Davis, of Mountain; seven brothers, Tinker (Kay) Longsine, of Mountain, James (Shirley) Longsine, of Oshkosh, Richard Longsine, of De Pere, Bill (Sue) Longsine, of Wautoma, Daniel (Patti) Longsine, of Oshkosh, Chris Thomas, of Oshkosh, and Rusty Thomas, of Oshkosh; three sisters, Janie Noack, of Green Bay, Virginia (Paul) O’Lando, of New Franken, and Penny Buie, of Sun Prairie; four grandchildren, Katie, Reggie, Cassie and Madyson; one great-grandson, Walker.
She was preceded in death by her son, Danny Jo Davis, on March 2, 2011; a brother, Terry Longsine; Sally’s partner, Bill Trossen; and a sister, Jackie Thomas.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring on Sunday, April 19, 2015, from noon until the memorial service at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Scott VanLaanen officiating. Sallie will be interred in Mountain Cemetery.
