Oconto Falls Police Department

Three homes on Eagle Drive and one on Green Bay Avenue reported April 5 that eggs were thrown at their homes sometime during the previous night. On April 6, a father of an Oconto Falls fifth-grade girl reported his daughter received a threatening message on Instagram from two fifth-grade boys. Police met with the boys, who apologized. A burglary was reported at The Pawn Shop, 219 N. Main St., April 6. The front door was forcibly entered, and the power to the business was cut. A kids dirt bike valued at $750 was stolen, and the owner was reviewing logs to determine if other merchandise was taken. A 24-year-old man reported the rear bumper and tail light of his vehicle were damaged April 9 when it was parked at Witt’s Piggly Wiggly, 409 E. Highland Drive. A woman from Ohio and man from New York reported receiving fraudulent e-mails from an Oconto Falls resident April 9 concerning rental property. A 19-year-old woman reported a disturbance April 10 on North Maple Avenue. A person at an Indianwood Drive apartment contacted police April 10 regarding a strong marijuana smell. Police were not granted entrance to the apartment where they believed the smell originated. A 73-year-old Oconto Falls man on April 11 reported receiving a fraudulent letter from the U.S. Department of Treasury. A 67-year-old Oconto Falls woman was cited for failure to yield from a parked position April 12 when she pulled away from the curb and struck a truck driven by a 40-year-old Green Bay man. The man was driving south on Maple Avenue. The two vehicles sustained moderate damage. No injuries were reported. An 18-year-old girl was taken into custody April 14 at Oconto Falls High School after a verbal and physical altercation involving her parent. On April 14, an Oconto Falls man, 18, reported being assaulted by his 20-year-old brother the previous day. An Oconto Falls woman, 28, on April 15 reported someone had fraudulently used her husband’s name to file taxes.
