Superintendent selection set for Monday

The Oconto Falls School Board will meet in executive session at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, May 7, in the Oconto Falls High School library to conduct final interviews for the superintendent position. The board also will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, May 11, in the district office conference room, 200 N. Farm Road, to approve a contract for a superintendent who will replace Dave Polashek, who retires June 30. On May 11, the board also is scheduled to elect officers, set the meeting schedule for the 2015-2016 school year and assign board members to committees. The board will recognize the Destination Imagination state qualifiers, FBLA national qualifiers, Skills USA national qualifiers, and the Kohl Initiative Scholarship and Kohl Fellowship recipients. The board will hear an update regarding 2013-2014 state test scores, open enrollment, graduation, the district budget and Spruce School. The board will discuss employee compensation and consider approving the fall coaching assignments and the retirement/resignation requests of Linda Stoltenberg, Kary Riggs and Amy Berkovitz.
