William Martin “Bill” Zietlow passed away peacefully Sept. 1, 2026.
He was born Nov. 18, 1939, in Rhinelander. Bill graduated from Rhinelander Union High School in 1958 and St. Mary’s Hospital Radiologic Technician Program in 1960. He moved to Oconto Falls in 1961 where he began a 41-year career at Community Memorial Hospital.
He met the love of his life, Patricia Ellen Plain, and was married June 13, 1964. They shared 49 years of marriage until Pat’s death in 2013. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ruth Zietlow; his sister, Joyce Schroeder; and niece, Trudy Houlihan.
He is survived by his children, Sarah (Scott) Bryan, of Wausau, and Marty (Ann) Zietlow, of Madison; as well as his grandchildren, Spenser Bryan, Hannah and Nicholas Zietlow; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private burial service at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Oconto Falls.
