A juvenile male from the Seymour area died as the result of a single-vehicle crash in the Town of Seneca on June 19.
According to the Shawano County Sheriff's Department, at 6:09 p.m., dispatch received a 911 call about a rollover crash on County Road D south of County Road J.
Evidence on scene and further investigation showed a car was traveling northbound on County Road D when the driver lost control and entered the ditch. Speed was a contributing factor to this crash, according to the sheriff's department.
The car was driven by an adult male who sustained non-life threatening injuries. One juvenile male who was a passenger also sustained non-life threatening injuries. Both were transported to the hospital.
A separate juvenile male who was a passenger was found unresponsive at the scene. Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
All of the occupants were from the Seymour area.
The Shawano County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Bowler Fire Department, Shawano Ambulance, Tigerton Ambulance, Wittenberg Ambulance, Shawano County Highway Department, Shawano County Coroner’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol and Krause Towing Service.
The crash remains under investigation.
