Inconsistent play hurts Chargers on golf course

This was a difficult championship course with a very talented field, and I think those factors intimidated many of our players.” He said the golfers played decently for stretches but were not consistent throughout the course. “A 36-hole tournament requires continuous focus and execution, and we just didn’t have it,” Bartletti said. “George (Seegmiller) was able to post two decent rounds, and Jaden (Clark) had a very good round going on Day 2 but had a disastrous Hole 4, which hurt his final result.” Seegmiller, a junior, scored an 89 each day for a 178 total. Clark improved from a 108 on the first day to a 94 on the second day for a 202 total. Roman Johnson scored a 207 total, including a 104 on the first day and a 103 the next day. Nicholas Flak had a 224, with a 113 on Day 1 and a 111 on Day 2. Luca Pelusi had scores of 117 and 110 for a 227 total. “This was a good experience for us, and each player seems determined to learn from this and work to improve,” Bartletti said.
