This spring, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) revoked the dealer license or wholesale dealer license from 35 dealers throughout the state for illegal activities, including selling directly to consumers, failing to maintain a dealer bond and other infractions.
Platinum Mobile Detailing LLC, W6044 County Road BE, Shawano, was one of the dealers punished for infractions.
After investigations by DMV’s Dealer and Agents Section, hearings in March and a 30-day appeal period, most of the following license revocations were finalized in early April.
DMV’s Dealer and Agent Section determined that dealers violated state law when they sold motor vehicles directly to consumers. Due to the nature of the violations, the department took immediate action revoking the licenses effective Feb. 12. The decision to revoke the licenses was upheld by a DOT hearing on March 13. The businesses did not appeal their revocations and the decisions are final.

In addition, the Dealer and Agent Section resolves disputes about dealership sales and warranty repairs. It also investigates complaints about odometer tampering and title fraud involving dealerships and private sellers.
