SkillsUSA Wisconsin announced a number of students from Shawano and Wittenberg placed during its regional competition held Feb. 21 at Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School student Logan Radun took second place in automotive service technology.
WBHS student Chekotey Horacek took first place in diesel equipment technology.
WBHS student Jessica Quade finished second in the job interview category.
Shawano Community High School student Jack Grieves took third in power equipment technology.
SCHS student Jaydin Vanderpoel finished second in precision machining technology.
WBHS student Bella Rumpel finished second in welding sculpture.
Those who place in the regional competition advance to participate in the 52nd annual SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference on April 1-2 in Madison. State competitions will occur at the Alliant Energy Center, 1919 Alliant Energy Center Way, and Madison Area Technical College (MATC), 1701 Wright St.
The 2025 conference will feature more than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students, more than 200 teachers and more than 300 industry volunteers working in more than 75 competitions.
