Wittenberg-Birnamwood dispatched Northland Pines with ease, holding the Eagles to single digits in each half and winning 58-17.
“We got off to a good start tonight, which allowed us to play everyone good minutes in the first half,” coach Nick Mechelke said.
Melaina Granquist scored 30 points, more than all the Northland Pines players combined. Of those 30 points were five 3-pointers. Rory Salvesen added another 14.
Granquist also led the Chargers with 11 rebounds. Salvesen led with seven steals.
Sophia Lemieux and Faith Resch each had one assist.
