Pacelli 5, Shawano/Bonduel 3
The Hawks and the Cardinals went back and forth until the end when Pacelli pulled out a 5-3 win.
Shawano/Bonduel opened the scoring with a goal by Blake Knope at 4:21 in the first period with assists by Cameron Schroeder and Teagan Harkey.
Stevens Point scored twice in the first half of the second period to go up 2-1 before Blake Swedberg tied the game with a Bryce Lammers assist at 15:15.
The Hawks grabbed a 3-2 lead at 3:00 in the third period when Gavin Hundt scored with another Schroeder assist.
The Cardinals reposed with three unanswered goals in the second half of the period to tie the game and then win.
Shawano/Bonduel had 48 shots on goal, while Pacelli had 24 with Tyson Lyons getting 20 saves.
Stevens Point was penalized only once for two minutes. Shawano/Bonduel was called for five infractions, including an unsportsmanlike conduct in the third period, for 18 minutes.
Northland Pines 9, Antigo 3
Antigo’s 2-1 lead early in the second period couldn’t hold up as Northland Pines had a pair of scoring streaks that eventually left them on top 9-3.
Trailing 1-0 after the first period, Owen Dickman tied the game at 0:28 in the second period. Eli Kassler and Parker Chaney assisted. Then, at 1:25, Ethan Novy was assisted by Carson Rhode for the go-ahead goal. The Eagles responded with three unanswered goals in the last half of the period to lead 4-2.
Rhode assisted Dickman on another Red Robins goal at 3:15 to start the third-period scoring. Northland Pines responded with five straight goals to close out the game.
The Red Robins had 29 shots on goal. The Eagles had 38 shots with Ian Brittenham getting 29 saves.
Antigo was penalized seven times for 14 minutes. Northland Pines was called for four infractions for 14 minutes, including a 10-minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the second period.
